Hours/ Days

We are open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. September to May.  Children can be enrolled from one to three days a week during the school year.

A separate Spanish Immersion program is also offered on Mondays from September to May from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.  A separate tuition fee is charged for this program - contact us for more details.

In June and July, we are open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tuition One day - $90 Two days - $170 Three days - $255

We have monthly themes that are broken down into weekly themes. These themes are related to the seasons, children's interests and general topics. A Spanish immersion class directed by Felissa Nause is also available on Mondays.

Our staff is made up of people who enjoy working with children. Each member is certified in CPR and First Aid, completes 15 hours of training yearly in child development, and follows Licensing standards.

On Tuesdays, the Four Year Old and Pre-K classes go to chapel. They listen to a Bible story and then sing a song about the story. At the end, we say a prayer related to the theme, the weather, or any other special requests.

Special Events During the year, we celebrate Christian holidays, birthdays, go on field trips, and have special visitors. The church also has events that the school par- ticipates in.

History and Purpose

Our Children's Day Out program was established about twenty years ago as part of the ministry of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Our purpose is to provide a loving and understanding Christian atmosphere to help foster the best development for your child. We strive to provide experiences in creativity, exploration, music, motor activities, listening experiences, free indoor and outdoor play, group games, and activities  for each child. Believing that each child is a child of God, we are called to minister to all children and their families as the children develop spiritually, socially, physically, emotionally, and intellectually.

There is a non-refundable registration fee of $50 for the Fall and Spring and $25 for the Summer. This is paid before each session to reserve a spot for your child. There is a supply fee collected for each child in September, February, and for the summer session. The amounts are as follows: One day $20, two days $30, three days $40.

We follow Austin Independent School District (AISD) holidays. Monthly newsletters, calendars, and individual class notes are sent home to keep parents notified about events. We have a board that meets once a month to discuss school policies and decisions regarding the children.

St. Mark Children's Day Out has been certified by Child Protective Services.
